Longmeadow 1783

Longmeadow, Massachusetts is a small New England town on the banks of the Connecticut River. To the north is the city of Springfield, MA and to the south is the border of Connecticut and the town of Enfield. It is 22 miles from Hartford, 78 miles from Leominster, 95 miles from Boston, and 138 miles from New York City.

Johnny Chapman lived one mile from the meetinghouse, which is still located on the town green. Today, Longmeadow is fortunate to have so many well preserved houses and landmarks that Johnny would have passed on his walks to and from the green.
